Meet Cindy D.
In 2010 I completed my initial 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification for develop my own understanding of yoga and it has been a guiding force in my life ever since. Since then, whether or not I was actively teaching/instructing classes, it remained a guiding force in my life and helped me through some challenging years.
I had a few inspiring yoga teachers along the way and I wanted to deepen my knowledge and learn more about how the body-mind functions synergistically and where to begin when life feels out of balance. I went on to receive my CYT500, led over 1100 classes for my YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and pursued the specialized training in pelvic floor health, osteoporosis, functional movement and building resilience for the nervous system. All of these areas are both personal challenges and those I see in my community, so I wanted to feel empowered to help others as well as myself. We are all seeking joy, freedom and ease so that we may enjoy and Active Life for many, many years to come.
That is why I started Active Life Yoga to share the gifts that yoga brings to my life. I offer yoga for people who want to get better at taking care of themselves so we can remain resilient in body, mind & spirit and the freedom to move and enjoy our life. We need to think about STRENGTH beyond just muscles but bones, joints and organs too! to maintain balance & focus, manage stress and prevent injury and organs and functional movement injury, maintain focus and concentration, in order to enjoy life as they age.
